In Feb 2021 I was very very ill and got the news nobody wants to hear long story short
I have the big C a tumour in my spine that had broken vertebra and pushed them out of place
I was so ill for a good few weeks
afterwards they told me that I was on a knife edge and wasn't expected to last the week thankfully due to the fantastic doctors and nurses Im still here still fighting on permanent chemotherapy that I cant ever come off I wont be cured but can go on being treated
but one of the things that I know helped in my recovery and giving me reassurance and lots of help financially and emotionally was when I picked up the phone and Rang Macmillan I was at that point in a real mess living on my own didn't really know what to do
they were amazing I got an instant cash payment to help with some new support bedding then they explained about what benefits I was entitled to and helped fill the forms in
when I go to the hospital that's very often of course I see Emmily the Macmillan nurse and she always comes and says hello and ask if I need anything and offers advice if I need it matter of fact at my last clinic I was not doing to good and she insisted on walking me back to the exit stopping every now and then while l I got my breath back
PLEASE REMEMBER god forbid BUT ! that the reality is one day you or one of your loved ones may get the terrible news and then Macmillan nurses will be there for you trust me
So I have made myself less handsome by shaving my bonce to raise money for them so I'm asking all my Facebook family
PLEASE MAKE A DONATION to what I consider one of the most deserving causes ever no matter how big or small it will all help PLEASE ! even if you have never done it before put your hand in your pocket ! and dont forget tick the GIFT AID BOX Make every £1 worth 25p more at no extra cost to you
Thank you for reading wishing you all good health and make memories NOT dreams
cheers
