We’re playing our part in taking the fight to cancer. We aim to raise funds to support those suffering from cancer whilst also raising awareness about the disease. Each year roughly 393,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with cancer (that’s the equivalent of 45 people being diagnosed every minute, or to put it in context, 45 people will be diagnosed in the time it takes to read our fundraising story). Our team at Classic Builders has been directly impacted by the devastating effects of cancer. A number of our team have been recently diagnosed with the disease and as such we’re taking a stand and fighting back. From a colleague in their 20s at the beginning of their exciting career, to senior members of our team with years of priceless experience and knowledge. Owing to our increasing awareness of the impact cancer can have, we’re taking action. We’re a tight-knit team that sticks together - when one of us succeeds we all succeed, when one of us struggles we answer the call and rally round. On February the 22nd this year some of Classic Builders’ most well-known faces will be ‘braving the shave’ to raise awareness and vital funds in a bid to battle cancer. Despite our incredible determination, we need your support to maximise the impact of our efforts. We’re asking for donations to help us raise as much money as possible for Macmillan Cancer Support. Macmillan Cancer Support provides resources and reassurance to those enduring the unthinkable. By supporting Macmillan we can not only help those battling cancer but help them live their lives during the darkest of times. From alleviating worries about being able to put food on the table, to offering support with a terminal diagnosis, Macmillan is at the forefront of cancer support in the UK – and that’s why we’re backing the incredible charity.
