The charity depends largely on public support and fundraising so they can provide much needed care and support for people living with cancer . I was flabbergasted to learn that a whopping 98% of their income comes from public support and fundraising ! Did you know that? None of us are immune to cancer and we all have experienced it in one way or another. As others have I too have experienced the loss of family, friends and work colleagues In my profession as an Anaesthetic Nurse many patients in my care are battling cancer . Their fight is unimaginable. For all these people and everyone out there who are living with cancer THIS IS FOR YOU! SO WHO IS DOING THE DEED The honour belongs to my fabulous wee chum Trish. The date 11th August marks the anniversary 10 years from diagnosis of Breast cancer 🎀 for Trish. "I couldn't be more proud of you ! Today Trish is Cancer free! So why am I doing this again? To raise loads of money for a fantastic charity! If together we can provide Macmillan with enough money to support and care for even just one person it will be worth it !! Trish had said to me that she would give me a buzz cut ! But she didn't get that choice as many cancer patients don't either! SO FOLKS IM GOING DOWN TO THE WOOD !! SO DIG DEEP INTO THOSE POCKETS! LETS GET FUNDRAISING! SURE ITS A GREAT CAUSE
