I was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer on 8 October this year. Having just discovered I'll be undergoing an 18 week course of chemo treatment, I've decided to get rid of my long silvery locks on my own terms - by shaving them in advance of the first dose, on 15 December.
My daughter Kim, who is a hairdresser, will be carrying out the shave on 11 December.
By doing this under the Brave the Shave banner, I am extremely grateful for everything single penny which might be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support, who do a fantastic job.
