Over 30 years ago my wife had cervical cancer. Her treatment then was massive doses of radio therapy and caesium insertions. It did kill the cancer, thank God. She has suffered from the effects of radiation since. The radiation covered such a large area that many other organs were damaged. Lots of the various tubes are not a flexible as they need to be. Over the years these organs have given her various health problems. The current treatment is much more refined. Like a snipers bullet against a shotgun. These improvements were possible because of research. Research costs lots of money. That’s why I am doing the Brave the Shave. To raise funds that will help to improve treatments so that future suffers do not have continuing problems for the rest of their lives. So they can live a full and normal existence. Sorry about the picture....it is an old one ...
