Hi everyone, Hope all of you are well. I normally support different charities throughout the year but choose one at the end of the year to do something special. So, this time and after a few conversations appeasing my husband (who loves my hair), I’ve decided to brave the shave and then donate my hair to make a wig for a child with cancer! A few of my friends have had cancer, some are facing it right now, my dad died with that diagnosis and any of us or our loved ones can have in the future. As you probably know, this illness is not only difficult for the patient but for their loved ones, too. In my case, my dad was not only my parent but also my teacher in life and my best friend, so it was hard to see him suffering that much and losing him changed my life forever (but thanks to that I’m an End of Life Doula now). So, to honour my dad’s life and the lives of everyone who has faced or is facing cancer, I’ll be shaving my hair (on the 20th of December, which would have been my dad’s 70th birthday) and would appreciate if you support me by donating as much or as little as you can. I and many others will thank you for it! Much love, Mariana
