Hello, I've considered braving the shave for quite a few years, but have talked myself out of it, so, I have decided if I get things rolling now I WILL see it through! I've chosen my mum's birthday. Although she didn't die of cancer, it was her greatest fear, after nursing my dad at home during his final years until he died in 1964 (when I was 14 months old). Since then, cancer has touched SO MANY family members, close friends, neighbours and colleagues. As I'm always quoting my mum's little phrases, I will finish with one "Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves". So, every penny is gratefully received. Please note that money raised will be used to support people living with cancer in the Lancashire area. Also that my hair will be donated to the Little Princess Trust for making wigs for children and young adults who have lost their hair through cancer treatments or other illnesses. Thanks go out to Danielle of Northern Roots Hair, Union Road, Oswaldtwistle for performing my headshave. With heartfelt thanks 💞 Bernie
